Frequently Asked Questions
How do I start a game?
One player taps "Create Table" to host a game. Other players tap "Join Table" to find and connect to nearby tables. Once everyone is in the lobby, the host selects a game and starts it.
Do I need an internet connection?
No! Cards by Cole uses local WiFi and Bluetooth to connect players directly. You can play anywhere — on a plane, camping, or wherever you and your friends are together.
How many players do I need?
It depends on the game:
- Euchre: 4 players (2 teams of 2)
- War: 2 players
Can I play against AI / computer opponents?
Not currently. Cards by Cole is designed for playing with real people in the same room. AI opponents may be added in a future update.
How do card themes work?
The Classic theme is free. Additional themes (Midnight, Royal, Neon, Vintage, Arctic) are available as one-time in-app purchases. When you host a game, your chosen theme is shared with all players at the table.
How do I restore my purchased themes?
Open the Card Themes shop from the home screen and tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom. Your previously purchased themes will be restored.
Players can't find my table / I can't find a table to join
Make sure all players are on the same WiFi network, or have Bluetooth enabled. Also check that you've granted the app permission to use your local network (Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network).
